Meet Heather
Heather is a lifelong resident of Robertson County, Tennessee, and, despite her Greenbrier roots, now calls Springfield home. Outside of work, life revolves around her family: her husband, their daughter, and their dog, Ghost.
An avid University of Alabama football fan, Heather can often be found cheering on the Crimson Tide throughout the fall season. In her quieter moments, she enjoys tackling daily word puzzles, getting lost in an Agatha Christie mystery (which she will probably solve before the final chapter), and baking her famous fudgy brownies—a treat that has earned a loyal following among family, friends, and coworkers alike.
Heather also has an incredible creative streak that shows up in some unexpected places. She’s the mastermind behind JGT’s annual Halloween costumes and, most importantly, JGT’s billboard ads, bringing just the right mix of imagination, humor, and “we’re actually doing this?” energy to the firm’s more playful moments.
Her Story
A graduate of Greenbrier High School, she developed an early passion for advocacy through her involvement in Mock Trial and HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), experiences that sparked her interest in pursuing a career in law.
Heather attended Middle Tennessee State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. While at MTSU, she continued to sharpen her advocacy skills as a member of the American Mock Trial Association, competing in collegiate mock trial competitions.
She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law on academic scholarship. During law school, Heather was actively involved in the Health Law Society and the Trial Advocacy Competition Team. She also gained valuable hands-on experience clerking for a local law firm and a circuit court judge serving Montgomery and Robertson Counties, Tennessee.
After being admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2016, Heather practiced with firms in Clarksville and Springfield before co-founding Jones, Green, & Tackett Law, PLLC.

Heather represents clients in a wide range of legal matters from family law to property law and is known for her thoughtful legal analysis, strategic mindset, and tenacious advocacy. She thrives on challenging cases and approaches complex legal issues with a problem-solving mindset—often viewing them like puzzles that require focus, strategy, and persistence to piece together.
Whether negotiating a resolution or advocating in the courtroom, Heather is a zealous litigator who is fully committed to protecting her clients’ interests and pursuing the best possible outcome. She is not intimidated by difficult or high-stakes matters and brings a steady, determined presence to every case she handles.
