Meet Brandi
Brandi was born and raised in East Tennessee. She and her husband now make their home in Cedar Hill, Tennessee, where they are raising their two children.
When she’s not working or teaching, Brandi is usually spending time with her family, planning their next trip, or winding down with a quiet evening watching the sunset from her backyard. She loves to travel whenever she gets the chance—whether it’s exploring the coast of Maine, taking in the energy of New York City, or relaxing on the beaches of Mexico.
A huge University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan, Brandi never misses a chance to cheer on the Cats during basketball season. She also loves catching up with friends and co-workers over Mexican food, trying fun new iced coffees, staying active through strength training classes and local races, and plugging into the community she’s proud to be part of.
Her Story
Brandi brings a unique blend of legal experience, education, and a passion for helping others to every client she serves. Raised in rural East Tennessee, she has built her life and career around service, education, and advocacy for others.
Brandi earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Lincoln Memorial University before completing her master’s degree in English at Tennessee Technological University, where she graduated with the highest academic honors while teaching freshman English courses. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law in 2011 and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar that same year.
Before entering the legal profession, Brandi worked as a Claims Examiner for the State of Tennessee. She also spent more than a decade in education, including serving as the Center Director of Sylvan Learning Center of the Cumberlands while attending law school.
Today, Brandi continues her commitment to education as an adjunct professor of law at Austin Peay State University, where she teaches Family Law, Juvenile Law, and Civil Procedure. She also serves as an adjunct professor of English through the Tennessee Regents Online Degree Program, helping students develop the communication and critical thinking skills essential in every profession.
After graduating from law school, Brandi practiced as both a solo attorney and an associate with firms in Clarksville and Springfield before co-founding Jones, Green, & Tackett Law, PLLC.
